Σοφία Ηλιάδου-Τάχου

Γεννήθηκε το 1960 στη Φλώρινα, πόλη όπου κατοικεί μέχρι και σήμερα. Σπούδασε στη Φιλοσοφική Σχολή του Αριστοτελείου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης, έκανε μεταπτυχιακές σπουδές στον Τομέα Παιδαγωγικής της ίδιας σχολής και αναγορεύθηκε διδάκτορας του Τμήματος Προσχολικής Αγωγής της Παιδαγωγικής Σχολής του ΑΠΘ. Έχει εκπαιδευτική εμπειρία από το 1981στη δευτεροβάθμια εκπαίδευση, από το 2000 στην τριτοβάθμια εκπαίδευση και σήμερα υπηρετεί ως Καθηγήτρια στο ΠΤΔΕ του Πανεπιστημίου Δυτικής Μακεδονίας στο γνωστικό αντικείμενο «Νέα Ελληνική Ιστορία και Ιστορία της εκπαίδευσης» ενώ παράλληλα διδάσκει και σε μεταπτυχιακά προγράμματα άλλων πανεπιστημίων στην Ελλάδα και στο εξωτερικό. Έχει διατελέσει Διευθύνουσα του ΠΜΣ του ΠΤΔΕ, είναι μέλος του ΔΣ της Ελληνικής Εταιρίας Ιστορικών της Εκπαίδευσης (ΕΛΕΙΕ), μέλος του International Standing Conference for the History of Education (ISCHE) και άλλων επιστημονικών εταιρειών. Είναι μέλος της Συντακτικής Επιτροπής 3 ελληνικών επιστημονικών περιοδικών και ενός ξένου περιοδικού Ιστορίας της Εκπαίδευσης. Συμμετείχε σε 63 συνέδρια πανελλήνια και διεθνή. Δημοσίευσε 43 άρθρα σε πρακτικά συνεδρίων , 3 περιλήψεις σε διεθνή συνέδρια. Είναι συγγραφέας 6 μονογραφιών, και 4 βιβλίων σε συνεργασία με άλλους ερευνητές. Συνέγραψε 64 συνολικά άρθρα από τα οποία τα 20 δημοσιεύτηκαν σε συλλογικούς τόμους και τα 44 σε επιστημονικά περιοδικά ελληνικά και ξένα. Ορίστηκε μέλος των συμβουλευτικών επιτροπών 9 διατριβών, επόπτρια 26 μεταπτυχιακών εργασιών έχει πάρει μέρος σε 13 βιβλιοπαρουσιάσεις-διαλέξεις και έχει εκδώσει 2 βιβλιοκρισίες. Τα προσωπικά της ενδιαφέροντα στρέφονται και στη συγγραφή ιστορικών μυθιστορημάτων.
